YOU GOT THE LOVE – A Tribute to Eren

In 1989, London DJ Eren Abdullah took Candi Staton’s unmistakable You Got The Love vocal and mixed it over Jamie Principle’s house classic Your Love, creating the legendary Eren’s Original Bootleg Mix.

What began as an underground club mix went on to become a defining record of British dance culture, eventually reaching the UK Top 5 and helping turn You Got The Love into the anthem generations know today.

This Friday, we celebrate the man behind that moment.

Joining us at Roller Nation will be an incredible gathering from London’s dance music community, featuring Roy the Roach, Kid Batchelor, Sancho Panza, DJ Fen and a very special set from Tony Andrews, founder of Funktion-One.

A day dedicated to Eren, his music, his friendships and the legacy he leaves behind.

New York City DJ, producer and remixer DONIS takes over the rink for a special edition of Sunday Specials. Rooted in NYC’s legendary music culture, DONIS is known for effortlessly moving between Soulful House, Afro House, Hip-Hop and R&B, blending classic influences with the sounds shaping dance floors today. Having played across New York at events and venues including Soul In The Horn, Papi Juice and Xanadu Roller Rink, and shared the booth with names including Karizma, Joe Claussell and Kai Alcé, DONIS brings his signature NYC sound to Roller Nation for one night only.
